About Our CEO

 

 

The Founder of Thruway Insurance Brokers, Elbert Shamsid-Deen, began his insurance career as a captive agent for New York Life Insurance Company in 1979 in New York City.  As a pioneer in the business community, Elbert has built a highly satisfied commercial and residential customer base servicing clients in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and South Carolina. Elbert’s portfolio of commercial, corporate and residential clientele has blossomed for nearly four decades.   

 

It was in 2003 that Elbert and his staff expanded their footprint and became a full-service, client-centric, independent brokerage agency, which has been providing a broader spectrum of products, services and insurance education in order to meet the full range of the growing needs of a diverse client base.
