Notary Public Services:

When you need to have a document notarized, it is the same as swearing under oath in a court of law—you are saying that the facts contained in the document are true. A notary public is a public official appointed by a state government to help deter fraud. Notary Publics witness the signing of important documents and
verify the identity of the signer(s), their willingness to sign the documents, and the signer's awareness of the contents of the document or transaction.

The notarization process is typically simple. You present a document and your ID to a Notary Public and sign it in their presence. After that, the notary
officially signs the document in ink, adds the date, and affixes an official stamp or seal.

***************************************************************************************************
We have two notaries on our staff; however, they are not in the office full time.
It is best to call the office (914-964-9660, Monday through Friday) and arrange a time to bring your paperwork in for notarizing.

To have a document notarized, understand that whoever needs to have their signature notarized must come IN PERSON and bring a
valid government-issued  ID with your normal signature and your picture on it.

We can not accept expired licenses or ID cards that do not have both your picture AND signature.
We also can not accept Social Security cards, birth or marriage certificates, credit cards, school IDs, library cards, or temporary driver's licenses.

Some valid forms of ID include:
- a current state-issued Drivers License
- a current state-issued ID
- a current U.S. Passport
- a permanent resident card ("green card")
- a U.S. military ID
- a state, county, or local government ID
